Returns and warranty
A used part is a used part. What we can do is make sure it is the one you were shown, and give you a way out at every point before you have accepted it.
You can refuse a part at the door and pay nothing. The driver works for Jakkaro, not for the shop, so there is no argument to have on your forecourt — they take it back and we deal with the seller.
Before it reaches you
- Every listing has to carry a photograph. A part cannot go live without one. What you see is the part you are buying, not a catalogue image of a part like it.
- Every shop is approved before a single part goes live. A new dismantler's catalogue is invisible to buyers until somebody here has looked at their trade licence.
- Nothing is charged until the shop has confirmed. If they cannot supply, the order is cancelled and there was never anything to refund.
At the door
Look at the part before you accept it. If it is not what was described — wrong part, damage that was not declared, not the car it was said to come off — refuse it. You pay nothing, including the delivery, and the order is cancelled. Anything already paid comes back.
This is the point the whole flow is built around, and it is why cash on delivery is safe here: the money and the part change hands in the same moment, in front of somebody who works for neither of you.
After you have accepted it
Tell us on the order rather than contacting the shop. A dispute is raised with Jakkaro and resolved by Jakkaro — we hold the record of what was listed, what was photographed, what was confirmed and what was delivered, and we are the ones who can act on it.
Raising a dispute does not stop anything else on the order and does not put your account at risk. It is a flag we can see, not a penalty.
Warranty
A used part carries no manufacturer warranty, and we do not offer one. What a listing must do is tell the truth about condition: a part sold as with defects has to say what is wrong with it, in words, before it can be published. A part whose description turned out to be wrong is a dispute, and we treat it as one.
What we do about a shop that gets this wrong
Every dispute is on the shop's record. A shop that repeatedly sends parts that are not what they described is reviewed and can be suspended — their catalogue disappears from search on the same day. That is the lever we have, and we use it.
Something wrong with a part you have already taken? Tell us on the order — My orders — rather than the shop. Disputes are handled by us.
