Privacy
What we hold, who can see it, and what we do not do with it.
This page has not been through legal review and carries no jurisdiction statement — that comes with the registered UAE entity. Everything described below is what the platform actually does today, and each rule is enforced in the code rather than by policy.
What we hold
- Your account — name, email, WhatsApp number, and whether you are a company or a private buyer. Company accounts may add a company name, business type, TRN and trade licence, which appear on invoices.
- Your delivery addresses — up to ten, with a contact name and number for each, and optionally a map pin so a driver can find the yard.
- Your orders — what you bought, from whom, what it cost, and every step it went through, with times.
- Messages — what we sent you about an order, and over which channel.
Your password is stored as a hash and cannot be read back, by us or by anybody else. We do not store card details at all — a payment link is handled by the payment provider and those details never reach us.
Who sees what
Three rules, and they are enforced by what each screen and each tool is able to return.
- A seller sees your name, phone and address only after confirming they have your part. Before that they see an order and a part, and nothing that identifies you. Handing a garage's details to a shop that may not have the part is the platform giving away the thing it is in the middle of.
- A driver sees where to go and who to ask for, and never what anything costs— except the one figure they are collecting, on a cash order, at the point they are collecting it.
- Nobody outside Jakkaro sees our margin, and neither buyers nor sellers can derive it: you see your price, a shop sees theirs, and no screen or tool carries both.
Who else gets your data
The shop supplying your part, once they have confirmed it, and only what they need to hand it over. The payment provider, for a payment link. The messaging provider, to deliver a WhatsApp message to your number. Nobody else. We do not sell data and we do not share it for advertising.
Messages you get
Order messages are part of the service — you cannot switch them off while you have an active order, because they are how you find out what is happening. The newsletter is separate, opt-in, and recorded with the moment you consented.
How long we keep it
Orders and their history are kept as a business record — they are what a dispute, an invoice or a tax question is answered from, and they are not edited or deleted after the fact. Your account details are kept while your account exists. Ask us to close an account and we will.
